The Holiday Season is here, and that means special opportunities to get together with friends and family for fun and festivities! Our 4th annual Northwest K9 Sniffers Holiday Party is scheduled for Sunday, December 17th at the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation, from 11:00 to 3:00. If you can’t come for the whole time, please feel free to come when you can. The Senior Center is located at 4610 Stephens Ave, Carnation, 98014.

This will be a POT LUCK, so please bring a favorite holiday dish to share. The club will provide beverages, paper products, and utensils.

We have made special arrangements for Santa to take a break from his preparations at the North Pole to come and pose for photos
with you and your dog(s)! Holiday attire (human or canine) is optional!!

Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Sniffers Holiday party. The date= Sunday, December 17th. Location: Carnation. Time= 11:00 – 3:30. Pictures with Santa for you and your pup, a Potluck, Gear Swap and fundraising for Old Dog Haven, along with sniffing some presents! Come and have some fun.

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting 3 NACSW trials in Burien in May 2017. We will host one day of NW3 and one day with Level 2 Containers and Level 2 Interiors. Stay tuned for further details on how to enter and how to help!

Our Annual Club meeting will take place on Sunday, April 23rd at the Sno-Valley Sr. Center in Carnation, WA.  Check-in time is 10:45 to 11:00, with the business meeting starting shortly thereafter.  All members are invited to the meeting.  Come to learn more about our activities in 2016/17 and help us plan for new NW K9 Sniffers events in 2017/18.

The 3rd annual Northwest K9 Sniffers Holiday party/potluck is scheduled for Sunday, December 11th from 10:30 to 3:30 at the Sno-Valley Sr. Center in Carnation.  The Senior Center is pretty easy to find (one block of the main street in Carnation).  It is located at 4610 Stephens Ave, Carnation, 98014.  There is a dedicated parking lot at the Sr. Center and street parking in the nearby residential/business area. Please take care to obey any parking signs posted on nearby streets.  If you plan on attending we are going to have at least one sniffing game for the dogs.  We have lots of holiday themed container items for your pup to search and then select those items with birch, anise or clove!  Holiday costumes or X-mas head-wear for your dog are optional, but who can resist?  If we have time and weather permitting, we may also set up one nearby exterior search area.  We also plan on having ‘Santa’ available for a photo opportunity with ‘Mr. Claus’, you and your pup.

Thanks to the generous support of handlers and volunteers we raised over $2,000 (including the club’s matching program) at the Burien trials recently hosted by the club. $1500 of this money was directed to the Northwest K9 Sniffers 2016 PSSC Foundation scholarship. This scholarship was awarded by the Foundation to a graduating senior of the Culinary Arts program at the Puget Sound Skills Center and will be used by the student for continuing education expenses for her first year of college.
